IDEAS Roblox Camp helps campers move beyond playing games to designing worlds, coding interactive challenges, testing ideas, solving problems, and sharing their creations. Separate Junior Roblox and Roblox divisions provide age-appropriate pacing, guidance, and project complexity.

Roblox Projects for Younger Campers
June 1-4* | Obbies!
Have you ever wanted to create your own Roblox obstacle course? Get ready to design and code a colorful map filled with wild challenges. Throughout the week, you will create kill blocks, hoops of fire, and pits of doom, then navigate, test, and improve your Obby again and again. Once your course is ready, show your friends and family what you created and see how your ideas came to life!

June 7-11 | Marble Madness Challenge
Transform your Roblox avatar into a monster marble, then design an incredible course filled with tracks and loops! You will control the marble while building and testing your creation, but then a friend will take the controls. Can you make the course challenging enough to be exciting without making it frustrating? Experiment, adjust, and find the perfect balance as you bring your Marble Madness Challenge to life!

June 14-18* | Mystery Maps Maker
Dream big, code hard, and build a mysterious Roblox world! Work with fellow campers to design an original map filled with secret portals, hidden pits, tricky terrain, and surprising places to explore. Test your creation, make improvements, and share it with other campers while exploring the imaginative worlds they build. Just be careful near the Lava Monster’s lair – Roblox characters are his favorite snack!

June 21-25 | Race and Wreck!
Ready, set, race! Use simple coding to create a speedy, silly racer and send it around a virtual track filled with obstacles, wrecking balls, and steering challenges. Build, test, and adjust your racer as you learn how controls can change the way a game feels. Then take on friendly competitions with fellow campers and see how your creation performs during this fast-paced week of Roblox fun!

June 28-July 2 | Master Mazes
Plan, design, and build an amazing Roblox maze, then challenge fellow campers to find their way through it! Add twists, hidden prizes, and a digital water crossing with a secret boat. Ready for more? Build upward with multiple levels, slides, and ladders, then hide a grand prize at the finish line. Use creativity and careful testing to make a maze that is challenging, surprising, and fun to explore!

July 6-9* | Super Smash Battles
Ready to build your own virtual arena? Team up with your counselor to design new maps, create digital lasers, and put your ideas to the test in virtual laser tag. Take on team challenges and battle royale style games, then explore other teams’ maps as you race to capture the flag. Along the way, you will keep coding, creating, and finding new ways to challenge your opponents.

July 12-16 | Sports Car Creator
What’s cooler than racing a sports car in Roblox? Building the car and track yourself! Use Roblox Studio to design, code, test, race, and wreck your own virtual sports car. Experiment with traction, handling, speed, colors, glowing effects, transparency, and other creative features, then bring your project to the Roblox Speedway.

July 19-23 | Super Speed Blocks
Move through the Roblox universe at super speed! Use Roblox Studio to design and code a custom fast-moving speed block, then explore how it changes the way your world plays. Throughout the week, use creative coding skills to build maps, races, games, and challenges, testing and improving each idea along the way.

July 26-30 | Ultimate Obstacle Course
Design an obstacle course game that puts your own skills to the test! With help from camp counselors, explore Lua scripting as you create a game world, choose obstacles, and design your player. Build challenges with hoops of fire, lava landings, and giant gaps, then try dashing and dodging through the course you made.

Roblox Projects for Older Campers
June 1-4* | Ultimate Obstacle Courses
Use Lua scripting to design your own Roblox obstacle-course game! Create a world, set the obstacles, design the player, and then try to beat the course yourself. Add hoops of fire, lava landings, huge gaps, and other wild challenges as you test and refine each section. Dash, dodge, and shimmy through your creation while learning how code and level design work together!

Let’s roll! Replace the default Roblox character with a marble and code an extreme course built for speed. Fly down ramps, jump across kill blocks, smash into walls, change colors, teleport across the map, and even make your marble explode into pieces. Experiment with flying and super-speed settings as you design, test, and play the most creative marble-based Obby you can imagine!

June 14-18* | Master Worlds Maker
Create the most incredible Roblox world you can imagine! Design original terrain, build your own monsters, and code a map filled with challenges and surprises. Work with fellow campers to dream, create, test, and even destroy parts of your world as you discover what makes a map exciting to explore.

June 21-25 | Super Car Racer
Build the ultimate virtual sports car and racetrack in Roblox Studio! Design, code, test, race, and wreck your creation while experimenting with traction, handling, speed, and visual effects. Make your car glow, become translucent, or change colors, then bring it to the Roblox Speedway and fine-tune the project for a faster run.

Design a thrilling underground Roblox adventure! Plan and build intricate mazes filled with twists, secret tunnels, hidden caves, glowing crystals, and mysterious chambers. Add multiple levels with ladders, slides, and underground rivers leading to treasure, then challenge fellow campers to explore your creation.

What kind of world can you bring to life in Roblox Studio? Learn to design, build, and script your own interactive creations while exploring how game design works. Build professional-style games while strengthening your coding skills in Roblox Studio! Use Lua to explore concepts such as conditionals, loops, functions, and variables as you create racing games, dodgeball games, and an adventure map. Each day brings a new challenge and a chance to practice, test, and improve your work.

July 19-23 | Lightning Runner
Become a Lightning Runner and race through the Roblox universe at super speed! Use Roblox Studio to design and code a custom fast-moving speed block, then explore how it changes movement and gameplay. Build maps, races, games, and challenges that put your coding and design skills to work, then test and refine each creation.

July 26-30 | Vertical Maps and Mazes
Turn a Roblox baseplate into a towering maze filled with hidden obstacles, challenges, and prizes! Plan and build multiple levels with slides, ladders, and a digital water crossing with a hidden boat, then place a grand prize at the finish line. Test your routes, improve the design, and challenge fellow campers to solve your Master Maze.

Junior Roblox is designed for ages 7-9, while Roblox is designed for ages 10-12. Projects, pacing, guidance, and coding complexity are adapted for each division.
Does my child need coding or Roblox Studio experience?
No. Beginners are welcome. Experienced campers can also build on their skills through increasingly complex design and coding choices.
Will campers use public Roblox servers or public chat?
No. Campers are not on public Roblox servers. All activities take place in private, staff-supervised sessions with no public chat or interaction with outside Roblox users.
Will campers be on screens all day?
No. Focused Roblox Studio time is balanced with active screen breaks, camp games, collaboration, and daily instructional swimming.
